Lots and lots of one year olds lately!  I’ve been shooting this family for the past year and I adore them…the sweet smiles, the laughter, the adorable girl clothes…everything!

Yes, I must start this blog with THAT photo.  It pretty much sums up our day with Mike and Angie…fun, fun, fun!  I shot their engagement photos several months ago, and knew immediately their wedding day would be full of love and laughter.

At one point in the ceremony, the pastor asked the “does anyone object” question.  Angie and Mike glanced out into the pews and then Mike gave the most fantastic little gesture to convey how he felt about that.

The reception was so much fun…amazing food, including homemade sweets made by one of Mike’s family members, and dancing to Croatian and Irish songs.  Not many people inside knew, but there was a bit of drama outside when one of Angie’s nephews dropped his pacifier in a grate outside.  I love how all the cousins are huddled around trying to figure out how to retrieve it.

And finally, on a personal note…

I must thank, from the bottom of my heart, my second shooter and partner in crime:  my husband, Jason.  For those of you who know me, are you surprised Jason can shoot…and do it well?  Me, too!  He’s actually pretty fantastic and I must give him credit for some of these blog shots (mostly because he told me to). 

Wow, I can’t believe it’s been almost two weeks since I’ve blogged!  So much has been going on around here lately…my little one’s birthday, school starting, my older son’s first practices of tackle football, shooting a wedding with my awesome husband as my second shooter (more about that later), and so many photo shoots–especially seniors!  So much to be blogged…so stay tuned!

Recently I had the pleasure of traveling to Omaha to do a session with an amazing family.  Not just any family, but my good friends from high school!  Adam and Joey were sweethearts way back then and now have the most beautiful family. 

Abbey (aka “Smiley”) is the last of my KHP Senior Reps. I don’t think there’s any explanation needed for why I’ve given her that particular nickname    Seriously, it was almost outside of her abilities to do any facial expressions other than, well…smile.
I’m just teasing–that’s not something I’d ever complain about. I mean, who doesn’t want to work with happy, smiling people? We had a lot of fun on this shoot and I did quite a bit of grinning and laughing myself.

Paige is one of my KHP Senior Reps, which also makes her one of my guinea pigs.    We tried out some new locations (that I love) and had such a great evening shooting these photos.  Isn’t she just gorgeous!
