Lily {Leavenworth Child Photographer}

May 26th, 2009 | Children

I’m hurrying as fast as I can to blog these and get the gallery done for this family who’s moving very soon.  I sure will miss them.  I feel so blessed to have known them for a short while and to hear their amazing story of adopting Lily from China.  Mom called because she wanted some mother-daughter shots and some of Lily in her traditional Chinese dress as well as her Americana dress to honor her new home.  She’s a brave little girl with a beautiful spirit.

These are great, Kelly! This could be a great gymboree add…now I do know I want both of those dresses that I’d been eyeing…love the boots, too!

Caden — 1 year {Kansas City Child Photographer}

May 26th, 2009 | Children

We finished out Caden’s 1st year baby plan with his one year old session.  It just seems like yesterday I was shooting his mama’s maternity session.  Isn’t he a doll?

girly girl

May 20th, 2009 | Children

I just finished editing this session and realized the similarities between now and two years ago.  Even though Hope has grown and changed so much, she’s still a girly girl.  I’ll never have one, so I just enjoy them through my clients.  :)

Applying her lipgloss before our session…

Two years ago, painted toes and all…

The Duncan Family

May 19th, 2009 | Children, Families

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again…I LOVE that my job lets me watch and document these little ones growing up!  It’s been two years since I’ve seen the Duncan family, when we met to photograph Hope.  Well, let me tell you–she’s a little lady now–a little lady all decked out with a fresh manicure and pedicure!  Thanks Duncan Family for such a fun time!

Josh — KHP Senior Rep

May 15th, 2009 | Seniors

I’m so excited that one of my KHP Senior Reps is a BOY this year!!  My husband was one of Josh’s wrestling coaches this year at Lansing High School and developed at great friendship with him–and what I mean is that Jason teased him unmercifully (that means he really liked him).

I came home from the shoot gushing to Jason about what a great kid Josh is, and how athletic and funny and sweet and–what?  I need to stop now?  :)

I just hope my boys grow up with all the qualities Josh has–he truly is a great kid.  I’m proud to have him representing KHP!
