Austin

June 30th, 2008 | Babies

Quickest baby session ever!  Austin was so fabulous and cooperative and so stinkin’ adorable we had this session wrapped up in 30 minutes.  Seriously, mom and I just looked at each other like, Well…not much else to do since he was just so awesome

Kendall

June 29th, 2008 | Children

It’s hard for kiddos to meet a stranger in the park for the first time and be expected to just turn on those sweet smiles immediately.  Kendall arrived ready to play…I mean that’s what you do at the park, right?  Duh!  Despite being fairly annoyed that some strange lady was clicking a camera at her every move, Kendall was good natured about it.  I just love that 3 year old girl spunk!  :)

If this doesn’t make you laugh, something’s wrong with you

June 25th, 2008 | Funny stuff

This is an email from my friend Heather that I always keep in my inbox.  I must refer to it every once in awhile when I’m taking myself too seriously.  This is totally US when we were in high school and college.  Sometimes I wonder if I’ll ever grow up.  I’m sure my mom wonders that sometimes, too.

I’m also checking to see if Heather checks my blog…I mean what does she do all day but sit around being pregnant?  Leave me a comment if you share my warped sense of humor and if you can come up with #20, since it’s missing.  It’s a challenge…I dare you.

I have done #17 and let me tell you people looked at me like I was crazy, but, it made people laugh and that is why I did it…

We totally have the same sense of humor, because as I sit here at work I’m looking at my own version of that list that I made like 8 years ago and put on the wall of my office. I only included my favorites, which are numbers 2, 3, 4 (which is my absolute favorite), 5, 7, 9, 14 and a couple of others that weren’t on your list. They are 1) Reply to everything someone says with “That’s what you think.” and 2) Send an email to the rest of the company to tell them what you’re doing. For example, “If anyone needs me, I’ll be in the bathroom.”

Love it! :)

Hmmm Sarah, wonder why you’re watching the blog closely? Could it be you’re waiting on a certain cutie to be featured? :) Keep watching…I’ll have him up in a few days. There were so many good ones, I don’t know how I’m going to choose…or how YOU’LL choose!

And H. probably won’t, but I’m watching your blog quite closely.

Chris and Carrie…KC wedding

June 23rd, 2008 | Engagements & Weddings

Several weeks ago my friend Tracy, of Tracy Routh Photography had me help assist and second shoot one of her weddings.  Tracy is so fabulous and gets the most amazing wedding shots, so I was happy to get the chance to work with her.  Here are a few (well maybe more than a few) from Chris and Carrie’s beautiful wedding.

The best part about being a second shooter is that you can keep your eyes out for the unseen moments that occur during the day.  For example, dandelion blowing while waiting to be called into the photos…

or playing the DS while waiting to be called into photos…

or checking out the water well while waiting to be called into photos

Thank you, Tracy, for letting me be a part of this fun day!

Da da da daaaaaa, Da da daaaaa

June 18th, 2008 | Personal

Name that tune.  Can you do it?  Here’s a hint…you can’t visit Walmart, McDonalds, or the grocery store without seeing something marketed towards the hero of this theme song.  My 7 and 3 1/2 year old boys are obsessed…and I mean completely taken by Indiana Jones.  They haven’t even seen the movie, yet they just LOVE this man!  My mom, knowing this, didn’t waste any time purchasing something she knew they’d love for our weekend in Salina.  Check out these mini-Indys…

Two words…thanks mom.

On Friday, I tried to get in a little mini-session with my niece and nephew, Chase and Cole.  Check out these little sweeties…

I just loved this kissing action.

But I don’t think Chase was done…check out that pucker!

After our session, my sister-in-law, Ashley and I took the kiddos to the Smokey Hill River Festival.  First stop face painting.  Last stop Lego tables.

We’ll skip the details of our crazy Friday night.  Thank goodness there are no pictures of THAT!  :)   Have a good week!
