At least somebody’s feeling better!

March 31st, 2008 | Personal

Well, my little man is feeling better, which is good news because 36 hours of throwing up was about enough to make me want to cry.  However, now I want to cry for another reason…the bug is slowly creeping through the house now.  Jason made it out of bed yesterday for a whopping hour and a half before heading back to bed feeling miserable.  I thought I was fine today until I got in the car to pick up Cody from preschool and quickly realized I wasn’t.  I’m currently blogging from bed :(   We’re just saying a prayer that it’s going to skip right over Jake.

I snapped a couple of Cody today so I could play around with some new processing.  Obviously, he’s feeling much better!

New logo for KHP!

March 27th, 2008 | KHP information, Personal

There have been big changes coming for KHP since January…and then, after attending the Love Affair Workshop, I got a big kick in the pants to get moving and do an overhaul!  First off, my new logo:

Logoshare_2

Do you love it?  I do!  If you’re in need of a new of a logo, I highly recommend Tiffany Hix of Green Olive Design.  Not only is she a fabulous photographer, but an amazing designer, as well.  Give her a shout!

On another, less happy note, it has been a crazy 24 hours around here.  My little man has had a surprise attack of pukeitis…that would be "thwho’n up" in Cody speak.  I won’t go into the gory details, but let’s just say it’s brought back scary memories from The Exorcist or from the storytelling sequence in Stand By Me.  Anyway, this is how my baby crashed out last night…with his big throw-up bowl right next to him :(

Thank goodness he was better tonight.

Edited to add:  Um no…not better.  Let’s just say that it’s a good thing Jake slept in the guest bed last not and NOT in the bottom bunk.  He would have been rudely awoken by an unpleasant substance raining down from the top bunk.

Addison and Avery

March 25th, 2008 | Babies, Children

I’ve know these girl’s daddy since he was in 7th grade and met their mommy in college.  It was so fun to spend the morning with them and just experience a day in the life!  Avery reminds me so much of Cody when he was two…such spunk and personality and Addison is such a sweet, good-natured baby.

After some inside shots, Addison was ready for a catnap so we took Miss Avery outside for some fun….after a quick jump on the bed!

Happy Easter!

March 23rd, 2008 | Personal

Just a quick post to share a few photos from our Easter in Salina.

I thought I was catching a sweet moment between brothers who were comparing their finds, however Jake was actually making an unauthorized "trade" of eggs…a plain green for a camoflage.

And this was Cody’s reaction…

But it’s all good later on hanging out with his partner in crime.

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter!

Oh yeah? Well, who won out on that arguement, huh? Maybe that folded arms pouting thing really works. Cody DID get the camo egg back you know…and I’ll be getting a little surprise in the mail in a few weeks! :)
