Today we had a shoot with four sets of brides and grooms and the fabulous Miss Erica.  This evening in the freezing cold we had a night shoot lesson with Davina, Kelly, Millie and Lauren.  After that, my amazing roommate Kim schooled us all on another kind of lighting lesson.  Check out these shots!

I have plenty more images to share, but it’s late tonight and I really need to get some sleep…haven’t been doing much of that this week.  I can’t believe tomorrow is the LAST day! 

Today was another fabulous day at the Love Affair workshop.  We did have an extra hour of free time today so we set out to do a bit of sightseeing on the island.

Just a quick post to share a few images from today’s shoot!

I’ve been waiting for this event since August and finally, the time has come.  In the morning, I’m headed out to Bald Head Island, North Carolina for the Love Affair Workshop with Lauren Clark, Millie Holloman, Davina Fear, and Kelly Moore.  All week long I’ve been checking the blogs of the 40 ladies who attended week one, which has made me all the more excited and a bit nervous I must admit.  It is a little bit intimidating to be surrounded by so many talented women.  My husband tried to calm me by saying, "Kelly, you can only hope that you are the worst one there, because then you’ll be the one who learns the most!  Why would you want to already be great?  No one is going because they are already the best photographer they can be!"  I suppose he’s right.

From what I understand, the island does not have very good cell phone reception, but I will still be able to check email.  Hopefully I’ll be able to blog some of my photos while I’m there as well.

I’m not really keeping track or anything, but in case you were wondering, I leave in four days for the Love Affair Workshop.  I’m not excited or anything    I still have a few things to do–like write those four journal entries that were assigned by Davina.  The week one girls are there and it’s been so fun reading the Love Affair Blog and Lauren Clark’s blog to keep up with what they’ve been doing. 

I decided to rent a lens for the workshop.  It’s a lens I’ve been drooling over for some time and since we have a decent bit of tax return money coming to us, I thought I’d try it out before making a purchase.  And speaking of purchase, even though we should be doing something sensible like investing, saving, or paying off debt, Jason and I are throwing around the idea of purchasing the almighty Nikon D3 with our tax return.  WANT is definitely not the issue, but NEED is…as it goes with most of our purchases.  Leave me a comment if you think I should buy it…maybe that will help us make our decision! 

I finished up the Mitchell’s maternity gallery last night and wanted to share two of the collages I made for them.  I just love them both…I hope they do, too!
