Pumpkin Patch

September 29th, 2007 | Personal

Today I was finally able to meet up with my good friend, Lori.  We have been trying to make plans to get the kiddos together and catch up for weeks now, and today was the day.  We spent our afternoon at the pumpkin patch in Gardner and between four kids, ages 6, 3, 3, and 2, we really had no time to catch up, but we still had a great time!  I’m sharing some photos from our adventure.

Aren’t Lori’s kiddos so stinkin’ cute?  They are such a combination of her and her hubby!  By the way…the pink cowgirl boots don’t belong to us.  They were just sitting there on the side of the "corn box" and they were too cute not to take a picture of.  I do not regret not having a girl, but I think it makes me gravitate towards girly things, just because it’s missing in my life!

The pigs were so funny!  They were actually snorting and rooting in the mud, just like you’d imagine.  Usually when I see pigs, they are sleeping–these were actually doing "pig things"!

On another note…

Starting next weekend, I am officially busy!  If you are looking to book a session, contact me ASAP.  I have very few spots left for sessions before the holidays–especially weekend spots.  I have three, possibly four sessions in Salina next weekend and I probably won’t be back there until Thanksgiving.

Check back soon…I’m going to run a blog special soon to fill the few spots I have left!

Cheers,

Kelly

Kelly – I love the pics! I definitely want to get some from you! We had a blast. The kids were so excited to tell them about the pumpkin patch and their new friends. Brett couldn’t stop talking about Cody! Glad we could finally hook up.

Makes me sooooo happy!

Okay, I know this is supposed to be my "photography" blog, and the past few posts haven’t had anything at all to do with photography, but I just had to say how happy I am that The Office is back on!  I giggle through the entire show…it makes me so stinkin’ happy!  Okay, that’s it.  I’ll try to have something photography related in my next post.

Today is my 10 year wedding anniversary!  It’s been an amazing decade full of so many wonderful memories.  Thank you honey, for being such a loving, funny, understanding, and committed husband.  You are my best friend and I love you!

Have to share this one…

September 25th, 2007 | Funny stuff, My boys, my loves

Today was a great fall day–very overcast and much cooler.  After picking Jake up from school, this was our conversation in the car:

Jake:  Are we going somewhere, or just going home?

Me:  No, today we’re just going home.  It’s a great day for cuddling up on the couch together with a blanket and watching a movie or reading a book together.

Jake:  Oh, so we’re just going to go home and be sexy?

Me:      (silence and confusion)

Jake:  Oh, wait a minute, I think I meant to say lazy.  We’re going to go home and be lazy, right?

Me:  Yes, we’re definitely going to go home and be LAZY!

I love that kid!

Ft. Leavenworth Spouse’s Club Luncheon

September 19th, 2007 | Events

I met so many wonderful ladies today at the Ft. Leavenworth Spouse’s Club Luncheon–my first one!  The world is small, I’ll tell you that.  Two different women came up to my table to browse and recognized some of the children in my photos (Kaley and Kaya and Grant and Emily)!  These women are friends with some of my very close military friends (Leanne and Marci).

Then, a girl came up and said, "I recognize you from somewhere, Oh my goodness, Kelly!"  It was Stacey, a sorority sister from K-State who was a couple years older than me.  I hadn’t seen her since 1994!  She lives in Leavenworth now and has twin 1 year old daughters!!  I can’t wait to photograph them!

I’m looking forward to scheduling sessions with the ladies from the luncheon.  Make sure to email or call me quick if you’re looking for fall or holiday photos. Spots are going fast!

Cheers,

Kelly
